New Wind Turbine Design
These turbines are similar to how our Wind Belt series of products work.
These turbines should be cheaper (and hopefully safer for birds).
Read more about these at the link below:

Dye solar the future of solar panels?
New technology uses a special dye that releases stored energy from light has been prototyped, and it looks very promising.
As Reuters states: "New miniature sized dye solar cell technology developed by an Israeli company can be installed onto devices and charge them with indirect light, making batteries obsolete. "
A video is available here at this link...
Some of the first dye-sensitized solar was created in 1988, but it wasn't until about 1991 that any of these cells had potential due to the low efficiency.
3G Solar Photovoltiacs claim their devices to have up to 3x or more the efficiency of other photovoltiacs, notably under indoor lighting conditions.
You can find out more about these cells at their company website:

New advances in hydrogen fuel technology
A new composite material coupled with an organic based bacteria could act as a catalyst for hydrogen fuel technologies. Typically something like platinum (which is still a rather rare and expensive element) would be used to help catalyses the process which enables hydrogen fuel production to occur. Now this new technology could be used instead. Using nano technology and bio-engineering components this new technology could be used directly with a fuel cell or in the production of hydrogen. The bacteria is inert since only the shell of the bacteria is used to contain the bio-material (modified hydroganese) and enzymes. Read more from the article below, there is also a link to the paper written about this technology.

New clear solar panels
New clear solar panels may lead the way to panels on windows. These panels store energy in a spectrum our eyes can't see making them appear to be transparent. This is definitely some great progress in solar adoption. It does not state the efficiency or other information, but this is something to keep an eye on.
